Star Garden Installation revealed at Heligan Night Garden

Lost Gardens of Heligan reveals ‘Star Garden’ at Children’s Hospice South West’s ‘Moonlight Memory Walk’, to represent bereaved families supported by this local charity

The Lost Gardens of Heligan - one of Roscoe Communications current clients - has created a very special installation in support of their charity of the year. The installation features 89 shooting stars, each one representing a bereaved family of Little Harbour, Children’s Hospice.

Set amid the one mile Heligan Night Garden winter lantern event, the installation is a tribute to the CHSW families currently supported by the charity.

“We’re thrilled to finish our support of this year’s chosen charity in such a moving and beautiful way’” says Laura Chesterfield, Head of Visitor Experience at The Lost Gardens of Heligan, “this is a moment of remembrance, celebration and also to reflect, as we find light in the darkness of winter, and bring all families together in a very special place”.

On Saturday 12 November The Lost Gardens of Heligan were proud to host the charity’s annual Moonlight Memory Walk which saw over 350 fundraisers walk twice around the 1 mile route around the gardens during the evening, and raise over £25,000 for the charity.

The Star Garden installation is just one of many that feature in the Heligan Night Garden, a popular winter lantern trail set within the gardens. This year’s experience will feature a variety of handmade lanterns across the winter trail, inspired by the natural flora and fauna of the historic estate.

On selected dates between Friday 18 November and Monday 2 January, the gardens will be open until late and visitors will be treated to a magical Winter experience.

The Star Garden light show was installed by Andrew Pooley.
